1. Editorial Independence
The editorial team at Dynamic Crew operates entirely independently from the commercial department of our publisher, HCR Services. This ensures that you, as a reader, can trust that the articles you read are unbiased and that commercial interests do not influence the advice and opinions presented.
To safeguard this editorial independence, Dynamic Crew’s editorial team follows several guidelines. We are transparent about these rules to keep you informed as a reader. This way, you understand the considerations behind our content and can verify that our articles meet the necessary standards.
2. Reviews and Test Products
Like news articles and tips, all reviews and opinion pieces are completely independent. These articles reflect the opinions or purchase advice of our editors, helping you determine whether a new product is worth your money.
Sometimes manufacturers send us test products, enabling us to review more products and provide more advice. However, receiving a test product never influences the content of our reviews. For this reason, reviews can never be sponsored. To ensure transparency, we always disclose when a review involves a test product provided by a manufacturer.
3. Advertisements and Advertorials
In collaboration with the marketing department and content marketers, Dynamic Crew occasionally publishes advertorials. These advertorials are paid for by advertisers and are separate from Dynamic Crew’s editorial team.
Advertorials are marked with an “Advertisement” label on the image, the abbreviation (ADV) in the title, and are credited to “Advertisement.” This ensures you, as a reader, can easily identify advertorials, know who paid for them, and distinguish them from our editorial content. The rule of thumb is:
If an article is credited to a Dynamic Crew editor, there has been no commercial influence on its content.
4. Contests and Giveaways
Occasionally, we host giveaways. These are classified as either regular giveaways or sponsored giveaways. As the name suggests, a sponsored giveaway is funded by an advertiser.
Sponsored giveaways are identifiable by the same markers as advertorials (see point 3): they are not credited to the editorial team and are labelled with (ADV) and an image label. Regular giveaways, on the other hand, are organized by us—for example, when we purchase a new smartphone to give away to a reader.
The editorial team writes articles about giveaways. In some cases, an external party may provide a product for the giveaway. If that happens, it will always be disclosed in the article.
5. Affiliate Links
We often include links to external websites in our articles. These are usually news sources, so you can see where our content is based. Occasionally, they may link to online stores—for example, when discussing an accessory and showing where it can be purchased.
Whenever possible, we use “affiliate links” for these kinds of links. These special links allow Dynamic Crew to earn a commission if you click through and purchase on the linked webshop.
The inclusion of affiliate links does not affect the content of our articles. Articles are written first, products are selected based on our recommendations, and only afterwards do we check whether an affiliate link can be included. Articles that include affiliate links always feature a disclaimer to inform you about this.
